“If I could craft a coworking Xanadu, The Yard would be it. I picture myself tooling over there from South Brooklyn on a custom-made Dutch bike, to find my assistant Pierre with a fresh cappuccino waiting and Charlie Rose holding on line one. After finishing up the pre-interview for my television appearance, I would gaze upon the corrugated steel walls and funky art and come up with brilliant gem after brilliant gem. Awesome young minions that I recruited from MIT could handle the detail work. The well-designed private cubby offices would keep me on task while the unfinished concrete floors and reclaimed windows would help me to hang onto my ‘edge.’ The perfect environment in which to build a micro Brooklyn empire, real or virtual.
